Inside Wind Cave

Wind Cave features over 150 miles of surveyed passages and rare boxwork formations.

Access to the underground passages requires a ranger-guided tour. The cave stays at a constant 54°F (12°C) year-round. All visitors must walk across a decontamination mat upon exiting to prevent the spread of White-Nose Syndrome.

Advance booking via Recreation.gov is highly recommended. Tours often sell out 1 to 2 hours in advance during the busy summer months. Wind Cave is a completely cashless park.
